Job Description:
A company is looking for a Professional Fee Surgical Audit (Lead
Coder Specialist) - Remote.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor coding compliance through prebill and retrospective audits
of ICD and/or CPT codes
Identify operational and regulatory issues related to coding,
documentation, and compliance through focused audits
Provide education and training for coders and healthcare
professionals based on audit findings
Required Qualifications
An associate or bachelor's degree in health information management
or equivalent education with 10+ years of coding experience
Certification in RHIT, RHIA, CPC, or CCS required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in inpatient and outpatient
coding
3+ years of coding audit experience focusing on coding accuracy and
revenue cycle
Proficiency in ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding with knowledge of DRG and
APC payment methodologies
