Job Description:
This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. -The
Quality Engineer may perform other duties, as needed, to meet the
ongoing needs of the organization.
Summary: As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for
supporting the Quality operations, including but not limited to
identifying the root causes of problems and instituting corrective
actions. -They also proactively recommend solutions that will
improve product durability and overall performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited
to): - - - - - - -Comply with standard Corporate Quality policies
and procedures - - - - - - -Develop and implement quality standards
as part of PENCOM's Quality Management System (QMS) - - - - - -
-Lead problem-solving cross functional teams; use of Quality
Assurance methodologies to manage and facilitate issues resolution
including root cause investigations and the development,
implementation and monitoring of effective corrective and
preventive actions - - - - - - -Support the development of PPAP's
and review of PPAP's from suppliers - - - - - - -Lead and
facilitate the review and disposition of discrepant parts
identified from DMR's and Non-Conformances - - - - - - -Review of
First Article Inspection reports, both internally and externally -
- - - - - -Able to use Minitab for statistical analysis (Gauge
R&R, capability analysis and SPC) - - - - - - -Review current
blueprints and quality documentation - - - - - - -Conduct training
of QA concepts and tools as needed - - - - - - -Set and track
quality assurance goals (e.g., reduce average turnaround time for
quality checks by 20%) - - - - - - -Coordinate with external
quality assurance auditors and technicians to ensure legal
compliance - - - - - - -Work with internal teams to increase
customer satisfaction by improving the quality of the products - -
- - - - -Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any
time with or without notice by management
Skills/Knowledge Required: - - - - - - -Previous work experience as
a Quality Engineer or similar role - - - - - - -Hands-on experience
with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and testing methodologies - -
- - - - -In-depth understanding of technical documentation,
blueprint reading and GD&T - - - - - - -Previous experience
with PPAP, PFMEA, APQP, Control Plans - - - - - - -Great attention
to detail and problem-solving abilities - - - - - - -Strong
communication and interpersonal skills (team spirit - interact and
collaborate with various departments, customers, and all levels of
employees) - - - - - - -Good analytical skills - - - - - -
-Excellent project management skills - - - - - - -Excellent
communication (written/verbal) and presentation skills - - - - - -
-Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint,
etc.)
Experience/Education Required: - - - - - - -College degree in
Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or relevant field -
- - - - - -Minimum 3+ years of experience in quality engineering,
quality assurance, or a similar role - - - - - - -Additional
certification in Quality Assurance is a plus - - - - - - -ASQ
certification preferred
