Job Description:
The mission of Jewish Family Service of Dallas is to provide

The Human Resources Director enables and empowers staff members to
perform their work that is guided by the organization's mission,
vision, and values. The goal ultimately is that JFS' clients
receive the highest level of services from JFS. HR works to
attract, develop and retain JFS' greatest resource, our people.
This position supports, promotes and furthers our goal of providing
the highest standards of culturally relevant and sensitive
professional service consistent with our mission.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides efficient and effective processes and practices in the
employment of all JFS employees; balances the needs of organization
with employees' individual needs.
- Oversees the activities of the HR Coordinator which includes
recruiting, onboarding, credentialing, employee relations.
- Collaborates with senior leadership to develop relevant and
compliant policies and procedures.
- Administers company benefits; leads benefits open enrollment
with benefits broker on an annual basis.
- Provides leadership skills training; addresses the need for
training and participates in the process of designing and
implementing training programs accordingly.
- Manages HRIS and employee files.
- Acts as a confidential resource for leadership and
employees.
- Manages company hiring to include developing diverse and
successful recruiting resources, ensuring compliant selection and
equitable decision-making processes, and introducing new employees
to JFS through the onboarding process and new employee
orientation.
- Manages credentialing process for medical and behavioral health
providers.
- Coordinates with Payroll to ensure employees are paid
accurately and timely.
- Manages JFS performance evaluation process on an annual basis;
assesses effectiveness of performance evaluation tools.
- Creates and manages job descriptions.
- Provides excellent customer service to internal and external
customers.
- Participates in other committees to include Safety, Continuous
Quality Improvement.
- Acts as a member of the Senior Leadership Team and alerts
senior leadership of possible risks in employment practices.
- Maintains updated employee handbook.
- Collaborates with external and internal resources to create and
maintain an equitable compensation program.
- Manages worker's compensation process.
- Works with leaders to address disciplinary and performance
improvement needs and confidentially handles and closes formal
grievances.
- Works closely with leadership in Employee Satisfaction surveys
and subsequent programs to address needs.MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
- Possesses well-rounded understanding of HR principles and best
practices.
- 5 years of experience leading the HR function (or acting as
sole HR).
- SPHR or PHR certified.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.JFS provides
