Job Description:
A company is looking for an ABMS Board Certified Medical
Director - Pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities
Review high-cost claims and provide resources for plan physicians
on therapeutic alternatives
Complete medication utilization reviews and medical necessity
appeals for various clients
Provide clinical guidance in support of prior authorization
criteria and clinical program development
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Medical School
ABMS Board Certified in a recognized medical specialty, preferably
in Internal Medicine
Unrestricted active medical license issued by the State Board of
Licensure or Osteopathic Examiners
Minimum of 10 years of medical practice and 5 years of
management/clinical experience in managed care
Required annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) must be current
during employment
