Description:Position Summary: As a key team member for RECARO,
the Technical Assembly Trainer has an important role in the
building of aircraft seat process. The main purpose is to train,
coach and develop assemblers as well as building seats on the line.
This role works in conjunction and collaboration with the training
department and in the training room as an instructor as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other
duties may be assigned:
- Train, coach and develop production assemblers in all technical
and process skills.
- Learn and use TWI process to write and train using JIBs (job
instruction breakdown sheets)
- Must have desire and ability to work in a team environment with
different type of employees/personalities and support RECARO's
employees and business needs
- Maintain constant communication with the training department,
production supervisors and management in regards of employees
progress, issues and certification readiness analysis.
- Must show a professional behavior at all times and good
communication with all employees on the line and other
departments.
- Must have the ability to participate and or lead training
classes in the training room to new and existing
employees/assemblers.
- Must have train the trainer knowledge/courses or be able to get
certified on it.
- Must be certified or cross train on minimum of 17 assembly line
certifications to become flexible within the lines. To qualify for
this level, employee must master a minimum of 10 General Skills, 4
Specialty Skills and 3 Critical Skills (for a total of 17) for
which RECARO will provide training.
- Read and understand technical documentation such as control
sheets or engineering drawings to build the product per
specification and RSM usage.
- General knowledge of specifications like RKN's, RSP's,
RKA's,AS9100, etc.
- Creating and updating work instructions as needed.
- If needed, assemble various parts into sub or final assemblies
either by hand or by use of equipment and small hand tools on a
wide variety of production units.
- Conduct self-inspections on completed assemblies; not limited
to current station
- Maintain a neat, clean, and safe work area and equipment
- All work must meet quality specifications and work
specifications operational procedures
- Meet or exceed quality metric goals
- Communicate any issues with control sheets or drawings to the
line lead/supervisor/other departments immediately.
- Communicate any line damages to line lead/supervisor
immediately
- Follow all RECARO safety processes and policies
- Identify opportunities to reduce line scrap cost
- Support and maintain 5S initiatives
- Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime on short
notice
- Good punctuality and attendance is required
- Able to Run/Lead a production line in absence of Leads as
needed.

- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Technical degree preferred (A&P, aviation, mechanical,
etc.)Experience
- At least 2 years of working experience in doing work
equal/similar to this job description with proven success
and/or...
- At least 1 year working as a Floater I within RECARO and have
the required certification and/or the ability to be certified.
