Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and transformative
individual to lead our CBS Texas sales team as the Vice President /
Director of Sales for KTVT-TV & KTXA-TV and our digital properties.
We are looking for a candidate who has a strong track record of
achieving positive business outcomes, leading sales teams,
fostering strong client relationships, and being a culture-centric
leader. This position offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role
in shaping a future forward, innovative sales strategy and
achieving revenue targets across all of our platforms, of 27
O&O Stations and Paramount Global streaming
inventory.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sales Strategy Development: Implement strategic and innovative
multi-platform sales plans to achieve revenue targets and increase
profitability.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and coach a team to drive
performance and exceed sales goals. Provide guidance, support, and
ongoing training to ensure the team's success.
- Client Relationship Management: Identify new business
opportunities and maintain strong relationships with key clients,
advertisers, and agencies.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market
conditions, and competitor activities. Conduct market research and
analysis to identify emerging opportunities and potential areas for
growth.
- Revenue Optimization: Implement pricing strategies, sales
promotions, sponsorships, integrations, and advertising packages to
increase revenue across all channels and platforms.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the sales budget,
including forecasting, tracking expenses, and monitoring
performance against targets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other
departments such as research, programming, marketing, traffic, and
operations to ensure alignment with overall station
objectives.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance
indicators to evaluate sales performance, measure progress against
goals, and identify areas for improvement.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with regulatory
requirements and industry standards. Prepare regular sales reports,
presentations, forecasts and budgets for senior management.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and refine sales
processes, tools, and methodologies to optimize efficiency and
effectiveness.QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Success in sales leadership roles within the broadcast media
industry, with a focus on TV advertising sales.
- Strong understanding of advertising sales principles,
practices, and trends, particularly in television and
streaming.
- Excellent leadership, and communication skills. Ability to
inspire and motivate a sales team to achieve ambitious goals.
- Analytical approach with proficiency in data analysis,
forecasting, and budget management.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining
attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong negotiation skills and a proven ability to build and
maintain relationships with clients and partners.
- Proficiency in Wide Orbit, Salesforce, Microsoft Office suite,
and other applicable sales tools and technologies.
- Flexibility to travel as needed and work evenings or weekends
for client meetings, industry events, or other business-related
