Gartner Analysts are industry thought leaders who create

broad range of world-leading organizations. A Senior Director
serves as a leader within Gartner's Research and Advisory business,
establishing oneself as a credible voice within their designated
market at local, regional, and/or global levels. Using exceptional
research and analytical skills, a Senior Director plays a
significant role in producing pragmatic and provocative research
which Gartner clients consume and apply to mission critical
priorities. They are a trusted source of advice for clients,
reinforcing Gartner's value every day. They engage via in-person
meetings, virtual meetings, sales support visits and Gartner
conferences to discuss complex client challenges and offer
appropriate recommendations.The successful candidate has a
background of automating complex processes and tasks to achieve
faster, more robust operations. The candidate will focus on written
and customer-facing deliverables aimed at technical staff who face
the challenges of automating traditional and cloud-based resources,
and are looking to GenAI to improve what automation is currently in
place.The candidate ideally has experience with Red Hat Ansible,
UIPath, and/or ServiceNow Automation.What You Will Do:
- Research, write, and publish analysis, aimed at a technical
audience, on a regular cadence both individually and
collaboratively
- Provide insights to clients through 1:1 interaction, workshops,
virtual presentations, and in-person stage presentations
- Provide professional representation of Gartner's brand,
research, insights, and analysis to technical teams in Gartner's
client base
- Actively shape the direction of Gartner research by
participating in research communities and providing peer
review
- Apply personal experience and technical expertise to an array
of clients, situations and industries
- Communicate complex concepts concisely and with authority
- Partner with sales and service delivery partners to increase
growth, retention, and engagementWhat You Will Need:
- 12 years of experience in enterprise IT; minimum of 5 years in
automation or related field; minimum of 1 year of GenAI research or
hands-on experience.
- Extensive experience interfacing with IT operations, including
ITSM, monitoring, and cloud teams
- Experience with automation and GenAI tools such as Red Hat
Ansible, OpenAI, and UIPath.
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to
explain concepts, vendor evaluations, and automation strategies to
a technical audience
- Experience working with technical architecture and
implementation teams
- Excellent writing ability; must be able to create detailed but
easy-to-understand written research to lead clients to success
- Robust public speaking, presentation creation and delivery -
cogently leading executive level engagements in high profile
enterprises
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% (where

reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is
152,000 USD - 190,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may
vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on
factors including, but not limited to, education, training,
experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.
In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an
annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a
role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition
