Job Title: Sr. Spec, Systems EngineerJob Code: 20265Job Location: Greenville, TX (On-Site)Job Schedule: 1st Shift 9/80Job Description: -The Sr Specialist, Systems Engineer position is part of a team that supports the requirements, design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne communications platforms. - - -Essential Functions:

• Understand physical architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains.
• Review and evaluate electrical wiring diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements.
• Understand test, integration, verification, and validation planning.
• Write effective verification test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements.
• Translate the voice of the customer into system level requirements.
• Perform requirement traceability.
• Develop and evaluate trade studies for accuracy and completeness.
• Write subsystem specifications based on system level requirements.
• Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system designs.
• Prepare effective presentations to communicate technical information to non-technical professionals.
• Understand requirement traceability.
• Be able to prepare effective presentations to communicate technical information to non-technical professionals.
• Hands-on experience with testing, integrating, and verifying software and/or hardware.
• Aircraft communication system integration and communications ground/flight test support.
• RF distribution systems including RF down-converting, up-converting, transceivers, non-blocking switching, and electrically phase matched distribution architectures.
• Troubleshooting and multi-level testing for RF applications.
• Knowledge of requirement traceability methods and purpose.
• Knowledge of the systems engineering trade study process.
• Writing subsystem specifications based on system level requirements.
• Conducting verification testing.
• Excellent written, oral, and presentation communications skills
• Working with subcontractors and US Government customers.
• Developing, authoring, and implementing system test plans.
• Willingness to travel -up to 25%.
• Perform other duties as assigned. -Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with six (6) years of design, development, test, and integration of hardware, and software systems experience
  • OR master's degree with four (4) years of design, development, test, and integration of hardware, and software systems experience
  • In lieu of a degree a minimum of ten (10) years of design, development, test, and integration of hardware, and software systems experience
  • Must successfully pass an FAA Class III Flight Physical.
  • Active Top Secret with SCI is required at the time of hire.
  • Must be a US Citizen. -Preferred Additional Skills:
    • Security+ Professional Certification.
    • Agile experience.#LI-AH1
