Hours:36Summary:The Advanced Practice Provider functions in
collaborative practice with emergency medicine physicians in a high
volume emergency department. Autonomously performs patient
assessment, diagnosis, and interventions according to approved
protocols and scope of practice. Prescribes a variety of modalities
to meet wellness and illness needs, up to and including hospital
admission.Two Shifts Available: 3p-3a and 7p-7aEducation and
ExperienceAdvanced Practice Registered Nurses
- Master's Degree in Nursing as Advanced Practice Registered
- Family or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certification required.
Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience or related
specialized area strongly preferred.ORPhysician Assistants
- Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies and
- Minimum 1 year of experience in related specialized area
strongly preferred.Licensure, Registration, and/or
CertificationAdvanced Practice Registered Nurses
- Current Texas professional registered nurse license
- Current Texas professional advance practice registered nurse
license
- Family or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certification
required.
- Current Basic Life Support (CPR) required
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
requiredORPhysician Assistants
- Current Texas professional physician assistant license
- Certified as a PA-C
- Current Basic Life Support (CPR) required
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
